Aircraft Spirals Uncontrollably into Palm Groves at Popular Southern California Beach
A helicopter flying near a well-attended southern California shoreline unexpectedly began spiraling out of control, ultimately losing altitude and smashing into a row of palm groves as onlookers observed.
Recordings posted on the internet depict the helicopter starting to spin over Huntington Beach then descending in the direction of the border of the coast, where it ends up lodged among palm groves and a steps near the shoreline route.
First Aid Update
Local firefighters said five individuals were taken to hospital involving two who were in the aircraft and were “rescued from the debris” following the crash on the weekend.
Three persons on the pavement were harmed. Information on their condition were not immediately available.
What led to the incident was not yet disclosed.

Officials mentioned the chopper was associated with an annual “Cars with Copters” benefit occasion scheduled for the next day.
